The Grip Chart Explained

In order to show how our waxes and balms vary in their grip-slip ratio, we have devised a simple Grip Chart going from 1 – 10.

At the lower end of the scale is our Liquiwax®, which initially offers a very loose grip before tightening up slightly. At the upper end of the scale is our Fascial Release Waxes, which provide a very tight and strong grip with little slip. Waxes with higher grip ratings would generally be used for deep tissue and myofascial release work.

Our standard Massage Wax comes in at a grip rating of 5, which is the classic grip-slip ratio we recommend for general massage.

Each product has an allocated grip rating designed to help you find the best choice of wax for your work.
